From the very first design meeting to installation, the process is always so smooth and enjoyable. Denise and her team are incredibly organized and professional. They keep us in the loop with weekly updates, so we always know exactly where things stand. I’ve always appreciated how upfront they are about design costs as they’re careful to stick to our budget while still creating something beautiful.
What really sets Denise apart is the way she listens. During early conversations, she always makes sure to understand our family’s lifestyle and what really matters to us. Denise McGaha Interiors has led multiple remodel and new construction projects over a decade long relationship. Over the years, Denise has developed an understanding of our family’s lifestyle and holiday traditions. Her team has demonstrated their love for our art and antique collection, and she continues to offer recommendations for purchases, placement, and rotation efforts throughout seasons. The most recent project included residential design recommendations for our Oklahoma ranch house. Extensive details were suggested,
from our engraved cornerstone placement to selections for furnishings and rugs. Most of all, our hearts will always remember the amazing team response when our home was considerably damaged from a tornado in 2019.

Denise has been my go-to decorator both when I lived in Frisco and then when I moved several years later to Dallas. I chose Denise initially because I loved her creative ideas and keen eye. I continue to go back to her because she is amazing at what she does and she turned both of my houses into functional, comfortable, beautiful living spaces with limited involvement by me and all within the budget that we set. She took into consideration my lifestyle and then incorporated items into the design that I would never have considered. For example, when my children were small, she made sure the end tables didn’t require coasters, that the main coffee table was covered with material and soft edges, and that the kitchen bar stools wouldn’t get ruined by children in wet bathing suits sitting on them. Now that the children are teenagers and we moved to a new house, she had the brilliant idea of changing an unused dining room into another sitting area for the kids to entertain their friends. Now we use every square inch of our house.

DENISE, Jeri and I were sitting in our Parlor enjoying the surroundings and thought of you and your team, so we decided to drop you a note. It’s been 16 months since we moved into our lovely home and we have enjoyed it every day. We remember back at our first meeting and being so scared of all the upcoming decisions that would need to be made for all the selections. I remember asking you when we would start running around to all the designer showrooms to view fixtures, lighting, tile etc. etc. and your reply was why would we run around. I was confused with the reply but then you asked how many selections I would want to see and I will have them all in the office. From that moment on the process of building a home and selecting all the materials was an absolute pleasure. Based on our conversations you knew what we wanted to create and you never veered from our goal and created for us a beautiful home. Maybe I could argue that between you and Jeri my choices were never accepted but that was a good choice, ha. You and your team communicated clearly the style and direction, and we could not be happier. Not that we are planning a new home but if that opportunity ever presented itself DMI would be our choice. Since our initial meeting, it was clear that Denise McGaha and her team work flawlessly where elegance and artistry intersect with execution and attention to detail. She is perfectly comfortable working across a wide spectrum of assignments, from packaging solutions for clients who desire little input, to our case, in which we wanted an active role in designing our future living space.
In our first meeting, Denise and her team made a concerted effort to get to know us personally, seeking out what we were trying to achieve in the project and getting feedback regarding our tastes, preferences, what we planned to use from our prior home and our budget. Denise and her team are very comfortable working across the entire creative bandwidth from traditional to transitional to contemporary designs. Denise was not afraid to offer new ideas that were somewhat out-of-the-box for our consideration. It was a strength that she could offer new viewpoints such as distinctive finishes and floor coverings, but ultimately leave the final design decisions to us. From that point and throughout the project, DMI used state-of-the-art technology to generate spacial configurations and color/material boards covering every aspect of the project down to the exacting details that we wanted.
One of Denise’s great strengths is working closely as a team with the project’s general contractor and, by extension, with their subcontractors. This insured consistent management, oversight and coordination for our project and helped to streamline the process and meet deadlines.
The selection and ordering of new items, reupholstering of existing furniture, tracking and dedicated warehousing of deliveries, quality control and finally the implementation and installation process were communicated clearly and frequently, making a complex operation essentially seamless to us. DMI’s weekly activity and expediting reports kept the project in focus and on schedule.
We are thrilled with the results of our project and are thankful to have worked with Denise and her team to bring this to fruition. We can’t recommend DMI highly enough!
