Showhouse season is upon us and I’m so excited to be a part of Southern Style Now 2017, in Savannah, GA! I hope you’ll join us. For details and tickets to the festival (including panel discussions and tours), click HERE!
I am often asked why I participate in Showhouses and if they bring us business. Great question, right? But it’s WAAAY more than that. There are many decisions that go into me deciding to have our firm participate in a certain showhouse. First of all, which charity does it benefit? Every showhouse I am involved in benefits a charity and often these are the largest fundraisers for these charities each year. They depend on money from attendees. The Historic Savannah Foundation is this years’ beneficiary.
Second, who is the media sponsor and do I have a great working relationship with them? In this case, it’s Traditional Home and they always support my firm and my brand. So, in essence I see participating as a way of giving back. Also, this year I am launching a fabric and wallpaper line and the Southern Style Now Showhouse room I have been assigned will give me the opportunity to showcase a few of our new patterns (just like the Dallas Showhouse did).
Lastly, how to you tell Robert Leleux, NO!?! Robert invited me to participate in the Inaugural Southern Style Now Showhouse in New Orleans and I loved every minute. And Savannah is on my list of places to visit, so here we go.
I thought you would enjoy seeing how the room started before I get my hands on it. First of all, I have a particularly challenging space because it has SEVEN FOOT CEILINGS!!! If that doesn’t scare you, nothing will. But I plan to do my best to make this room dramatic and jaw dropping and I hope you don’t even notice the low ceilings once you see everything else I have in store.
I can’t wait to show the BEFORE and AFTER on this one. Stay tuned for drama!!
