On our trip to San Francisco, I took time to jingle my friend Scot Meacham Wood (the adventures of tartanscot TM)and let him know I wanted to have coffee if he could fit it in.
Scot is from the South and his wardrobe and gentlemanly way always makes me feel at home. It as if we have known one another for years.
The two hours we spent together were a marathon in catching up, shopping for clients and hearing Scot’s stories of designing for his clients. Scot is working furiously on several big projects, but most importantly he is focused on the opening of the 2013 Peninsula Volunteers Decorator Showhouse in Woodside, CA opening May 4th.
I haven’t done a Showhouse in several years, and I am ready to tackle another. Any Dallas Showhouses on the agenda for 2013 friends?? Sign me up!!
I want to give you a quick recap of what this Dallas girl found in San Fran.
We started our morning with a ferry ride through the fog. This was my first trip to Sausalito and having my friend Shelly (Shelly Rosenberg Studio) along made it all the more adventurous. She sees everything in prose and is one of my favorite writers.
Once we landed in San Fran, it was off to meet Scot at SFDC.
Love the entrance to Janus Et Cie
And then…….after giving Scot details of a project I am designing, he brought me to the most amazing space. Coup d’etat delivered solutions to several holes in my project design and below are just a few of my finds there…. They were preparing for an artist show that evening, so the space had a gallery-like feel and I was mesmerized to say the least.
And all of this beauty was experienced before noon. Talk about Designing with a Deadline!! Our car to the airport arrived and as we left the design center I was energized from vacation but even more from the excitement of finding the PERFECT pieces for my clients’ new home.
