The majority of my friends who are interior designers have dogs. I don’t know what that says about our profession, but I like to think it shows compassion, unconditional love and wisdom on our part.
I also think it shows that many of us believe in designing homes for those with pets and children. These spaces are full of life.
In my opinion, every beautiful home includes a pet. Here are a few of my interior design heroes and their pups:

Interior Designer Michelle Nussbaumer and her Great Dane
Bunny Williams with Ms. Lucy in her living room
Get on board….
Step 1: Adopt or rescue an amazing pet
Mr. Beckley loves making his way around town and being part of our family!!
Step 2: Treat them like family – i.e. give them their space, even if it’s your favorite silk velvet covered chair
Step 3: Be prepared to have a more fulfilled, relaxed, and joyous life with pets in it
