When I received a call last week inviting me to the Arteriors Corporate Offices here in Dallas for a sneak-peek of Barry Dixon’s new designs for Arteriors, I dropped everything, loaded Mr. Beckley up and sped over.
I saw Barry Dixon in High Point last April in the Arteriors showroom and he gave me hints about what to expect, but I could never have anticipated the beauty. While I am giving you just a few shots today (I didn’t want to spoil the big splash for High Point), I hope it’s enough to whet your appetite. DISCLAIMER: Please know these are images from my own camera and some were taken in the early morning before the warehouse lights were even turned on!!
The impeccable Barry Dixon
Arteriors‘ Mark Moussa
BELOW is the official scoop on the line direct from Arteriors:
Acclaimed interior designer and author Barry Dixon has clients from around the world seeking his unique, Southern sensibility mixed with a distinctly global aesthetic. A childhood spent abroad and frequent international travels as an adult have cultivated his love of geographically and culturally diverse items. Dixon’s design projects are filled with one-of-a-kind objects that bridge the past with the present, bringing history into the future.
In a similar fashion, Arteriors founder Mark Moussa began to develop his sense of international style and business acumen working for his father’s decorative accessories import firm. Today, Moussa is the force behind the dynamic and evolving company, always anticipating what the design community will look for next. His appreciation and understanding of the design process underscores his commitment to the intricate relationship between designers, factories and the skilled artisans who interpret and produce these exceptional products.
Together, Dixon and Moussa are proud to introduce an impressive anthology inspired by Dixon’s personally curated collection, which he fondly calls his own “private 21st century curiosities shop.” Inclusive of more than 60 items, the Barry Dixon Collection for Arteriors will launch in Fall 2012.
UPDATE: We were asked to keep the images I took that morning under wraps, so I have removed them from the blog. I will post more images when I am in High Point in October, so stay tuned.
While at the Arteriors warehouse, we also had the opportunity to view their other introductions for High Point. Mr. Beckley especially loved the new cabinets with a single and double width and lined in our favorite color….ORANGE suede. They will have glass shelving and are lit within.
So as you can see, Mr. Beckley has his favorites and I didn’t even begin to talk about all the great lamps and chandeliers, as well as accessories I photographed. But I want you to be surprised when you see the full line in just a few weeks in October. I will present my favorites then!
Mr. Beckley is awaiting the latest in brass dog bowls from Arteriors….hint, hint! Let me know what you loved most in this sneak peek?
