My Deadline Dilemma this week has lots to do with kitchen remodels. Our summer schedule is always full of client remodels for my team and we get SO MANY questions like this:
CLIENT: “How can I freshen up my kitchen without completely gutting it? Do I need to replace my cabinets or can I do something else? HELP!”
ME: Well, everything depends upon your budget, but one of the best tips on a deadline is to change your cabinetry color. Another great refresh has to do with updating your lighting.
I LOVE to paint cabinets a darker shade…white is sooo nice, but I also love to shake it up a bit. Why not paint the larger pieces in the kitchen a different color. The refrigerator cabinet and island are a great place to test a coordinating paint color if your kitchen has white cabinets and you are looking for a change.
Any clue what my favorite alternative to white is? What can I say – I love grey.
I also love to see lighting pendants in the kitchen. What a great way to spice up your island or bar and while chrome is a great classic, why not mix it up with brass. it’s back, you know.
Call me in two weeks and tell me all about the transformation in your kitchen. A little lighting and paint can go a long way.
