While attending Blogfest 2012 in New York last week, I had the opportunity to meet Interiors Magazine Editorial Director, Michael Wollaeger.
I was so excited to chat with Michael and enjoy the lively panel discussion he hosted with Interior Designer, Miles Redd, Marissa Marcantonio of the blog Stylebeat and photographer, Peter Aaron.
As if this weren’t enough excitement, Interiors Magazine has offered us the chance to find our favorite “WOW” factor in their June/July issue and then show you a “WOW” from our own work. If you haven’t picked it up yet, you are missing out! My pages are already becoming tattered after reading it several times now. My favorite “WOW” factor in this issue is the master bath of the San Francisco High Rise designed by Candace Cavanaugh. The entire space is magnificent, but the master bath’s marble slab walls and herringbone patterened marble flooring are divine. I also loved her use of recessed medicine cabinets behind the mirrors.
I also love to use tile patterns in my work and love natural and porcelain elements combined.
In this bath designed by Denise McGaha Interiors, the beautiful mosaic tiles and limestone counters created a “WOW” factor for this couple each morning.
Thank you Interiors Magazine for the great panel discussion with one of my idols, Miles Redd and I look forward to reading your next issue. P.S. I love the paper edition a wee bit better than digital. I know…old fashioned I guess!
