Last week when I gave tips for working with your painter, I wanted to show you how we create a paint chart. We always create a list of paints (usually in Excel) to be used in each room; however, we also like to use a paint chart.
As you can see, this paint chart is such a quick reference to the colors we are using throughout the home. You can immediately see the flow in colors as well as have a quick reference when choosing coordinating fabrics, carpets and more. I also keep a larger chip of the paint in our design notebook for the project.
This great shortcut saves so much time when I am meeting with clients at their homes. It also is a wonderful reference point and easy to carry around when I am shopping for furnishings and fabrics for each project.
