As promised, here are the remaining before and after photos of our project, Villanova! Here you will see the BEFORE and AFTERS of the Kitchen, Family Room, Wet Bar, and Breakfast Area. Because these were mainly done when we arrived, you will see how we made subtle changes to great effect. NOTE:: All before pictures are from the original real estate listing and the home was staged at that time.
After Kitchen: Notice how we changed the LARGE number of glass doors and gave our client solid doors to hide clutter. Also you can see how we made subtle paint changes to the range hood and the island. Adding upholstered barstools really makes the space work for their eight grandchildren.
Before Family Room:
After Family Room: The major changes in this room were paint palette, the removal of the interior cast stone columns and an overall furnishings change.
Before Wet Bar:
After Wet Bar: Isn’t it amazing what a color change can do? I always talk to my clients about how paint can completely change the look and feel of a space and this bar is the perfect example.
Before Breakfast Area:
After Breakfast Area: In the living room image above, you can see this space and the staging firm placed a console there with floor lamps. I opted to add antique mirror to the inset and to use this space to anchor the breakfast room, instead of floating a table in the space. This doubled the seating opportunity and again, made it much for functional for larger casual gatherings.
We are still so in love with this home, and hope you love it too! If you’re interested in a BEFORE and AFTER in your home, please reach out HERE!!
A few weeks ago, I posted about how our clients’ home appeared on the cover of Luxe Magazine last month Our entire team is still so excited and grateful for that opportunity. Today, I wanted to take you through the before and after photos of the project. When I arrived, our clients had just purchased the home from a builder who built the project on spec. Our clients hired our firm to add their aesthetic to the home and make it work for their family.
This post will be broken into two posts so I can show you the entire home. Today I will share the BEFORE and AFTERS for the formal dining room, formal living room, and master bedroom and bathroom. Stay tuned for next week’s post which will include the remainder of the house!

Wallpaper is back……and in a big way! There are so many different wallpaper options out there these days. We love using them to add color, pattern and texture. Here are some of our favorite projects where the wallpaper made a big impact on the space:
Here are some examples of wallpaper in bedrooms.
This is a great example of using a patterned wallpaper. This Schumacher wallpaper from Celerie Kemble was in our guest bedroom design in the Traditional Home Hamptons Showhouse in 2015.
In this bedroom, we used a solid grasscloth on the walls to add texture and we also used a silverleaf block patterned paper on the ceiling. The shine in this paper added a unique look.
Here we have a more modern bedroom with a printed grasscloth on the back wall. This makes the headboard wall the star of this room!
And we love using paper in bathrooms! Take a look at some of these spaces:
Wallpaper doesn’t have to only used in a bedroom or bathroom. We also use it in laundry rooms as well as dining rooms…
I hope these examples will inspire you to use wallpaper in your next project!
