I am so excited to share that I am headed to Parma, Italy next week for a whirlwind trip to Mercanteinfiera. I will be attending Italy’s largest antiques fair with The Antiques Diva & Co on a special VIP tour Feb 26 – March 2, 2014. As this is my first time to Italy (gasp! I know, I know, but Paris always calls my name when I am planning a trip to Italy, so I never made it), and to Parma as well, I am sure there will be lots of prosciutto, pasta and ANTIQUES!
While there, I will be shopping for several great new projects we are designing and hopefully find beautiful architectural antiques for a special client who is constructing their new residence in Dallas. There is a chance that a few items might make their way back to the studio and my home as well, but we won’t tell Mr. M about those, will we?

There is also rumor there will be celebrities in attendance for the fair, so I can’t wait to see who appears to shop one of the best-kept secrets in the antiques and design world. I have been working behind the scenes on our new blog and website for several months now and I am SO EXCITED to announce it is finally here! While it may look very similar to what you have seen in the past from me, there are many differences under the hood. We are now officially on WordPress. I went away from WordPress about 4 years ago, and now I am back.
We have a new blog header that is more simple and in keeping with our design firms’ main focus: Designing with a Deadline. We also have a new About section of the website which better speaks to what we do for our clients in 90 days or less. I love our new mission statement which came out of many long hours of idea generation with Tobi Fairley during one of our Mastermind sessions.
